Our Services

Jordan Gray Consulting is a men’s high performance dating coaching website that offers products and services focused on improving men’s relationships. 


We had two major concerns as soon as this account was to be part of our undertaking:

  • Understand the legal rules and advertising terms around these services
  • Create back-up plans in-case there is a dispute (in which case the ad platform will always win)


That comes down to a few different mentalities and approaches, but something we need to stress is that we ALWAYS take the ethical and compliant approach or what many people in the industry refer to as “white-hat” marketing.


For longevity and peace of mind, the white hat approach always wins.


Once we were familiar with what could and couldn’t run, the next piece of the puzzle was tracking and attribution.


Whether your website gets 1,000 visitors a month or 1,000,000 knowing who those visitor are, where they come from, and why they are there is the difference between a thriving or a failing business.

There are a few different industries which have a hard time performing well on paid traffic:

  • ED
  • Sex & Sex Education
  • Testosterone Boosters


Each of these topics can be “prohibited” on ad platforms. 


This means that the companies that can figure out how to offer these products on paid advertising platforms in an ethical and compliant way get all of the ad inventory at a reduced price.  - “To The Victor Go The Spoils”

Once we were familiar with what could and couldn’t run, the next piece of the puzzle was tracking and attribution.

After determining conversion paths and ensuring that pixels were firing correctly, we then backdated the pixel.  This process involves adding all the data the business has accumulated to the data sets Facebook can use to optimize the ads.  


This is done by uploading all of the custom lists (.csv files) you can get your hands on from the business’s CRMs, email autoresponders or alternative types of customer relationships management software.  ,

This meant that we could take a fresh account and fresh pixel and feed it only the data we wanted it to see right from the beginning.


And from there it was off to the races.


For products and services that address “hot button” issues or risky topics, we take the following actions to prevent ad accounts from being shut down:

  • Hold a 10:1 ratio of approved to disapproved ads
  • Set-up a campaign simply to get approved ads
  • Write ads with positive sentiment
  • Focus on faces smiling for images and get rid of negative images/visuals or anything that could result in a platforms AI determining an advertisement has a “negative sentiment”


Doing these 4 things will prevent the majority of “borderline” accounts from getting banned.


What Did This Lead To?


Well, we started scaling the Jordan Grey ad account very slowly.


At first we were excited to see the account handling a couple of hundred dollars a day in ad sepnd with a 4-5 ROAS (which almost never scales and holds up.)


After a few weeks of incremental scaling, we saw monthly revenue for the entire business increase by 200% and a profitable, scalable, and sustainable account in the making.


When getting into the 4 figures of daily spend, always make sure to understand that as you scale ROAS decreases on the front end, leading to an increase in the impact of a more mature back end sales process including some type of followup (email, messenger, additional follow-up specific remarketing campaigns etc.). 


Additionally, it becomes even more important to start diversifying your customer’s buying opportunities by adding additional products or services into the mix so that you have some combination of additional offers including one or a combination of the following:

  • Bump offers
  • Upsells
  • Downsells
  • Cross-sells
  • Continuity programs
  • Loyalty discount programs. 


These options don’t have to be complex.  For small brands with a limited number of digital products (or one) this could come in th form of additional payment options, different terms for access to a digital product (3 mo, 6 mo, 12 mo, lifetime, etc.) or offers for combinations of the products and a specific level of access to the creator or affiliated “coached”, this could include things like:


  • Email support for x numbers or days or weeks
  • Live coaching calls at x frequency per month
  • 1 on 1 coaching calls at x frequency per month
  • Group support / coaching programs in the form of - (Patreon groups, Facebook Groups, SteamYard private access coaching calls, Private zoom calls, Facebook workplace groups, etc.)


The possibilities for diversifying offers is truly unlimited.  The point is, having one way for your customer to purchase from you is a surefire way to shoot yourself in the foot, tank your business and otherwise not be able to compete in the increasingly cut-throat advertisement auctions you are entering on the major ad platforms. 


Implementing just a few of these strategies along with continually testing the copy and creatives we ran to Jordan’s audience allowed us to profitably scale the account past $100,000 per month in ad-spend.  


In this case, the popularity of the Jordan Gray Consulting blog gave us a large base of customer data to work with which allowed us to more rapidly locate new pockets of profitable customers. 


While this process might be slower, depending on the amount of pre-existing customer data a brand has, the overall approach is the same.
